Count nouns: plural to singular
Count nouns can be counted, and as such, they can be singular or plural.
1 – Most singular nouns form the plural by adding “s”.
2 – To make the plural of a singular noun ending in ss, x, z, ch, sh, just add “es”.
3 – To make the plural of a singular noun ending in a consonant and “y”, add “ies”.
4 – To make the plural of a singular noun ending in a vocals and “y”, add “s”.
5 – One and ones can replace countable nouns to avoid repetitions, but it must be clear what you are talking about.
6 – Next, there are some irregular nouns and their plural, they have no specific rule. They can be made plural by changing the word, changing vowels, or adding a different ending.
